Private  Lessons cost the following:

30 minute lessons at my home studio $174 per month

30 minute lessons at Revival Drum Shop. $190

45 minute lessons at my home studio $212 per month

50 minute lessons at my home studio $260 per month

These costs are based on 38 lessons in a year.

Lesson Frequency:
I'll be teaching 38 weeks in 2025 out of 52 weeks in a year.  This means you'll receive 38 lessons if you attend all the lessons, and you'll get two bonus lessons for Variety Show practice if you choose to take them (these will be make-up lessons if you have some of those in the bank).  I'll be taking the remaining 14 weeks in 2025 off for tour, artist residencies, other related work, and time off such as for Spring Break from March 24 - 27, a week off at Thanksgiving and two weeks off between Christmas and New Year's.

Regarding payment and invoicing:

Invoices will be sent out on the 24th of each month and monthly tuition is due by the 5th of the next month. You are welcome to pay via Venmo, online with a credit card when you receive your invoice, or I can set you up for autopay via a credit card or a bank account. Please let me know which one you prefer and we'll take it from there. If you are choosing to pay online with a credit card or via Venmo, I kindly ask for prompt payments. If payment isn't received by the 5th of the month, there will be a $35 dollar late fee added to your bill.

Your monthly tuition now includes all materials including books, sheet music, processing fees for credit cards, and expenses for the Variety Show. If I want you to have a certain book I'll buy it for you.

Regarding attendance:

When you commit to a time slot in my teaching schedule, that time is yours to use as you like and are able to.  There won’t be refunds or credits for missed lessons. However, if you need to miss a lesson and give me at least 24 hours notice, or are sick or have an emergency, I would love to work with you to find a time that works for us both for a make-up/reschedule,  or use your missed lesson time to put together and send you a short video or list of links featuring something to learn, listen to, read, or watch that is related to what we are working on, if you let me know ahead of time that you'd like this option and are committed to watching and working from the video and/or links. You can also choose to just miss that lesson. I am also willing to do a Zoom lesson in the case of illness, if you want to use your time, but can’t come in person.

If I miss a lesson due to a local performance or some other work related event, or sickness, I will offer a make-up lesson for you, or I can make a short video for you instead, or you can choose to miss that lesson.  If I am sick, depending on how I am feeling, I might offer you a Zoom option.

In the case of whole weeks, when I am on tour, or at a residency, or taking a week off to work on some recording or art project,  I won’t offer make ups, and that will go towards the 14 weeks without lessons in 2025.  I’ll always be sure to let you know in advance about any days/weeks I won’t be available.

Make-ups can be saved and taken anytime during the year and will expire at the end of 2025. They will be offered weekly when there are gaps in my schedule, or if we need to - at the very beginning and very end of my teaching day, and I might also offer a weekend day or two each month to do make ups. These will be scheduled at my discretion when there is the need to do so.  We can also add additional time to a lesson as a make-up if there is free time before or after your lesson. We can also use make-ups for house visits to make sure your drum kits are in good shape, tuned, etc. and also for extra lessons scheduled around preparing for the Variety Show (I am offering two each to each person).  (More about the Variety Show soon!).  I'll keep track of make-ups on my teaching software.

Regarding Ending Lessons:
If you decide to stop lessons, and it's time to move on, there won't be a refund for the month that you are in and I kindly ask for two weeks' notice, meaning once you decide to stop, please come to two more lessons. This is so we have time to wind down from our time of learning, and so I can leave you with self-learning material if y
